Healing Haven is a team of professionals dedicated to bettering the lives of families of children with special needs. From Clinical roles to Administrative roles, we all work together to support the families coming to us for help. Get to know a small portion of our Healing Haven Team.

Jamie McGillivary, MS, LLP, BCBA, LBA ​
President & Founder

Jamie McGillivary founded Healing Haven in 2010 to support parents of children with autism and other special needs. Before Healing Haven, Jamie helped pioneer The HOPE Center at Beaumont Hospital and served as Clinical Manager for nearly 13 years. Jamie is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a Master of Science in Clinical Behavioral Psychology. She’s a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with more than 25 years in the field of ABA Therapy. Even with the increasing demand for ABA Therapy over the years, Jamie continues to meet with all the new families reaching out for therapy for their child.

Kristen Gann
Vice President of Operations

Kristen Gann serves as Healing Haven’s Vice President of Operations. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Ashford University. Kristen started with Healing Haven in February 2014 as Registered Behavior Technician and Training Supervisor. Prior to Healing Haven, she worked as a Human Resources Manager for a company that owns a chain of markets. As the Vice President of Operations for Healing Haven, Kristen’s responsibilities include formulation and revision of company policies, performance management of departmental managers, oversight of all Human Resources functions and clinical productivity, employment decisions, compliance, regular evaluation of daily operations and application of improvements, and strategic planning. Before she became Vice President of Operations, she held the Director of Operations and Human Resources Manager positions.

Peter Mitchell
Vice President of Finance

Peter Mitchell serves as Healing haven’s Vice President of Finance. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a major in Finance in 2011. Pete joined the Healing Haven team in January 2018. Prior to Healing Haven, he worked as a Finance Director for an insurance company. As the Director of Finance for Healing Haven, Pete’s responsibilities include accounting and financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll processing, vendor management, corporate insurance and 401K plan sponsorship. Before he became Vice President, he held the Finance and Administration Director and Manager positions.

Jennifer Thomas, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LBA
Director of Clinical Standards

Dr. Thomas serves as Healing Haven’s Director of Clinical Standards. She graduated from the University of Nevada with a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology in 2008. Dr. Thomas is also a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Michigan. Dr. Thomas joined Healing Haven in November 2019. Prior to Healing Haven, she worked as a Behavior Analyst, Psychological Consultant, and taught at several universities. As the Director of Clinical Standards at Healing Haven, Dr. Thomas’ responsibilities include curriculum development, providing continuing education opportunities for Board Certified Behavior Analysts, establishing standards for and monitoring clinical implementation, and introducing new research and methodologies to the clinical team.

Jocelyn Cook
Vice President of Marketing and Client Services

Jocelyn Cook serves as Healing Haven’s Vice President of Marketing and Client Services. She graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. Jocelyn joined the Healing Haven team in March 2018. Prior to Healing Haven, she worked as a Director of Marketing and Client Services for an employment branding and recruitment marketing agency. In her role at Healing Haven, Jocelyn’s responsibilities include developing and coordinating all marketing communications for the community and current client/employee base, supporting recruitment efforts for clients and employees, managing company presence on all social platforms, company website design, managing new client onboarding for ABA, Speech, Occupational Therapy, and Counseling services, and project management to support Healing Haven’s operations.

Kate Fritz, Clinical Manager

Kate Fritz, MA, BCBA, LBA
Early Intervention Clinical Manager

Kate Fritz joined Healing Haven in March 2017 as an ABA Therapist and Practicum Student. Kate received her Master of Arts in Behavioral Psychology from Western Michigan University where she also completed her undergrad in Behavioral Psychology. Before joining Healing Haven Kate worked for two other ABA providers, one of which was an inpatient provider. As our Early Intervention Clinical Manager Kate overseas a team of BCBAs and middle managers, provides support to the ABA Therapists, develops curriculum for the Early Intervention clients and manages the clinic building systems.

Sarah Biviano, Clinical Manager

Young Learners Clinical Manager

Sarah Biviano joined the Healing Haven team in January 2020 as one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts. She later moved into her current role managing our Young Learners Clinic. Sarah received her Master of Science in Clinical Behavioral Psychology from Eastern Michigan University. Before joining Healing Have Sarah worked as a BCBA serving clients up to age 21. As Clinical Manager of the School Readiness clinic, Sarah supervises a team of BCBAs, provides support and guidance to middle managers and ABA Therapists and oversees building operations and development.

John Leither, Clinical Manager

John Leither, MA, BCBA, LBA
School & Community Readiness Clinical Manager

John Leither joined the Healing Haven team in July of 2018 as a Behavioral Technician, having already earned his master’s degree from Ball State University. He previously worked as an ABA Therapist for 3 years with another clinic. Soon after coming on board with Healing Haven, John passed his certification exam and became a BCBA. Later John was promoted to the Clinical Manager role. As Clinical Manager of the School & Community Readiness Clinic, John directly supervises many of the BCBAs on our team and helps to develop vocational and life skills programming to provide quality learning opportunities related to community integration and independence. Additionally, John leads the Safety Care training program for ABA Therapists. John’s passion within ABA is to provide meaningful opportunities for our clients to grow, while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for them to practice these skills!
